Program Notes:
Blue Sky Catastrophe was written for and recorded by the International Contemporary Ensemble's Peter Evans as part of a residency at UCSD. This piece explores the relatively new terrain of brass multiphonics (split tones), juxtaposed against the lyrical and martial traditions of trumpet playing.
